Well, I have been to some strange places and done some rare and interesting things but at 26 it just seems like I've missed out on a lot of the normal stuff that constitutes real life for most people. I'm still up for doing some more interesting things and it would be good to have someone fun and/or like-minded to do them with. I'm probably not the worlds greatest communicator (except on paper, this right here is as eloquent as I get :)).

I have a very odd circle of friends in that I know a lot of people from various groups and activities that all know me but wouldn't know each other. I fantisise about getting them all together but I never seem to find the right occaision, might do it on my next birthday though. I have a few people that I'm very close to but no one "best friend".

I'm reasonably house broken - as in I can cook, wash and iron my own clothes and scrub up well when I can be bothered or coerced. I have done some post-grad so I'm smart and probably a bit too opinionated for my own good.

Hello all. I usually avoid these sorts of things for fear of appearing egotistical, however, it was casually suggested by a good friend of mine so I thought I would give it a shot. I recently began studying and working in Belfast so I also thought it would be good to try and use this as a way of meeting like minded, interesting, intelligent people, which can be sometimes be difficult.

I think I am curious and have been told I am smart and funny. I don't know in what way though. I am quite active, energetic, busy and I am involved in a lot of work, travel, study and outdoor activities. I love swimming and lots of sports, but particularly tennis. However, I am up for adventure and always willing to try more and open my mind to new sporting experiences. I also enjoy hill walking and running when I get the time. I enjoy learning new things and new skills. I always strive to do well, improve my knowledge and work towards global/local change. In fact, I do not think I have learned, explored or worked in half the things I want to yet. I enjoy science, conservation, environmental policy work and psychology. So, thats all the nerdy stuff, which in fairness takes up some of my time.

However, its not all work and as well as sport, I am passionate about the creative aspects of life. I love cinema, theatre, opera, music, creative writing, art history and photography. Although I am only a amateur at the moment! I also love travelling (with my books, my computer and my camera) to help me take account of my experiences. And just like everyone, I enjoy reading, writing, socializing and having fun with friends.

I'm a little unsure about what to write for these things. I never know what I should actually write about myself. Should I write what I think I'm like, what other people think I'm like or what I think people should think I'm like. It's all very confusing and generally pointless anyway. You can't really know anyone unless you talk to them.

Anyways I like watching movies, reading, and attempting to draw. I tend to go off into rants sometimes about things just to get it out of my system. Feel free to ignore me at these times and just smile and nod.

I live for fun. I'm not career driven but I enjoy what I do and I like to be the best I can be at it. That pretty much applies to everything I do. I like to try new things and master them. This has in the past included everything from mechanics to computer games. I'm Happiest with a puzzle or challenge to solve. I like all sorts of music from Metal like classic Iron maiden or more recent Nightwish or Lacuna Coil through Offspring to pop rock all the way to blues and some modern classical string quartet stuff like Bond. I enjoy the cinema too especially the oddball. My favourite movie is Gattaca. I have a Suzuki Bandit 650 motorcycle and I love getting out on it round the country I enjoy riding fast but I'm not a racer I just love the freedom and the fresh air.

I'm an open minded, creative person who works hard and enjoys meeting interesting people. I'm always confident and outgoing in social situations, but in reality I'm pretty reserved and quiet on a day to day basic. I prefer to listen to people a little before I speak I guess ;-) I love a laugh and have a really good sense of humour. I used to write a lot of amatuer comedy for publications etc, but haven't much in recent times with work etc... still love it though.

I like to... travel, play guitar, write, work (yes, sadly), watch movies, have big meaningful conversations, have big meaningless conversations, drink beers and learn new stuff. I believe life only gets boring when you stop learning, so I'm always tinkering at something new :) I'm happily single at the minute but would be cool to meet someone.

Hey! I am a firm believer in having as good a time as possible. I love travelling, dancing, good food, good company, good times.

I have two sides I suppose- on the one hand I absolutely love city life. I love exploring cities worldwide and experiencing the varying nightlives that accompany them. I am wildly social, so meeting new people is one of the biggest attractions to partying for me.

On the other hand, I love the more chilled out approach to life as well. I love walking in the country. I love to paint, so I enjoy finding new scenic areas to photograph and paint later. I love nothing more than sitting down with good friends at a dinner and engaging with them. I consider myself an excellent conversationalist.

*Deletes everything* Damn, what... interesting stuff I had here before... Sounded oh so doom and gloom, was not intended, I'm a very positive person and don't sweat the small stuff, at all... much to the chagrin of some people.

I think I come across as fairly friendly, perhaps occasionally annoying to friends. I have spent my life philosophising, arranging my thoughts in a generally coherent manner, I am now at the point where I feel relatively confident enough to express and discuss these thoughts with others. I love to hear how and what others think about morals, society, religion, spirituality, reality and what ever people find important or interesting. I am an huge advocate of critical thinking, and Scientific Scepticism (skeptic).

When meeting new people, depending on the time and place, I may seem quite shy and introverted. I sometimes find it difficult to do the whole small talk thing. My friends would probably say I talk a lot, but not often *too much*, unless I've had a lot of coffee and/or not enough sleep. I like people who talk a lot, generally I would rather listen than talk, but I still like to.. talk. I already know what I think, I like to hear what others think. In saying that, I dislike when people dominate conversations.

To me, life is about learning, be that through conversation, introspection, observation, exploration or the words of others.

I like people who care about what it means to be here, even if it might have no meaning outside our own subjective perspectives.

hmm, this is hard, i work 9 to 5 monday to friday, like lazy sundys, looking someone to share things with, walks on beech, parks ,eating out, going for drives, drinks, cinema ect,

decided to replace my drunken attempt at a joke with something slightly less stupid. my names iain im a twenty something overqualified bum living in belfast. i would describe myself as an uber geek by that i mean i'm a movie/music/comicbook/geek. i mostly signed up to do random quizes as procrastination is an important hobby of mine.

i drink a bit too much, a fact i blame on having too many different groups of friends and the fact i'm irish.... the science community laughs at me now but i will someday find the drinking gene. then the world shall become as alcholically obsessed as us *INSERT CRAZY LAUGH HERE*.

i smoke a bit which is quite dumb considering i know a lot about how it is slowly killing me.

I'm a psychology student, in my final year. I am a bit of a music fanatic, it seems like I'm constantly on a quest to fill my ipod. I love some classic rock, 80's glam (I know), metal (mostly symphonic, orchestral). I also enjoy softer music, like bitter:sweet, Lydia, Priscilla Ahn, Kate Walsh etc. But my most favourite is Queen Adreena, Ruby Throat, Daisy Chainsaw because I'm (just a tad) in love with Katie-Jane Garside. She's amazing.

I also love film noir, good books and great conversations.

First off I'm 20 and cant get that damn age changed on this.

Well I am very eccentric and a bit mad but in a feelgood way. I will never do anything to make anyone else fell bad...well unless they deserve it and by that I mean your evil or listen to STEAK BEATS. I came to this site for a thing to do, havent decided what that is yet.

Where do I start??? I was born at a very early age. Since my birth several things have happened most noticeably i've got taller and most unexpectedly i've become more immature. I am slightly obsessed with music and i collect vinyl records, i'm rarely seen without a cigarette hanging from my mouth, not that i smoke a lot i just think it makes me look super-cool! In a day to day kind of way I am a computer game playing, guitar wielding romantic-idealist. I like to have time on my own to read and philosophise as much as I enjoy spending time with people. I am infinitely more comfortable getting to know someone on a one-to-one basis than in a club environment, though I enjoy these from time to time as well. I really dislike the effect caused by a smiley at the end of a bracketed sentence, the closed bracket gives my smiley a double chin and gives the impression that I have ceased to close my original bracket I sense one impending.

In a relationship respect, I am the kind of person who is very cautious about who his heart goes out to. I treat it like I would treat a child I was putting up for adoption. (I imagine. I've never had to sell a person before! Good money in it though ;)) <----- ARGH!! I may find myself withholding sex for a while even though I am convinced that getting it out've the way as fast as possible is the best way to see the person for who they really are. However what I really love is having the kind of woman I can worship entirely, to share a fascination in each other and each others lives, after that happens I will always remember you whether it works out or not. I'm a bit like the Toruk in Avatar in that respect. Except my wings aren't nearly as colourful. And I don't have any wings.
