The herd is going north! The Blind Elephant Collective is having it's first show in Belfast. The Blind Elephant Collective is a Dublin based artist collaborative that has backgrounds in differing art disciplines. The group was formed in January 2010 by nine artists who wanted to work on set projects. The blog site, which was set up after the first meeting, is central to the groups operation. This is where group assignments are submitted and act like an online notice board for the Blind Elephant work. In 2010 the collective submitted work based on a list of words decided upon at the beginning of that year , however in 2011 it was decided to make the themes more elaborated. The illustration projects that were posted last year and feature in this exhibition are based on quotes by painters, poets, and actors.
